Hello

I’m Louise and I have been working in mental health since 2005. After finishing university, I Initially worked in a supported housing setting in the local community, before joining what was then a brand-new service that is now known as “NHS Talking Therapies”. I worked in Talking Therapies from 2009 until 2025, in both clinical and leadership roles.

I chose to work in mental health because I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience positive mental wellbeing. Just as we take deliberate steps to care for our physical health, our mental health needs nurturing too.

The main approach that I use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I also offer Couple Therapy for Depression. In addition, I am currently completing an Accredited Life Coaching Diploma and will be offering this at Renewed Perspectives very soon! If you want to learn more about any of these, please click here.

  • Post Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Psychological Therapies (University of Newcastle upon Tyne, 2014)

I am committed to ongoing learning and development. As part of working towards and maintaining my professional accreditation with the BABCP, I am required to complete a minimum number of continued professional development hours per year.
