Hello

I’m Louise Stubbs, a mental health professional with over 20 years’ experience supporting adults and couples across the UK. I specialise in online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Couple Therapy for Depression, and life coaching, offering a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly and explore what you need without pressure or judgement.

I began working in mental health in 2005, starting in a supported housing service before joining what is now known as NHS Talking Therapies. I worked there from 2009 to 2025 in both clinical and leadership roles, supporting people through anxiety, low mood, stress, and the challenges of everyday life.

I chose to be a therapist because I believe everyone deserves the chance to experience positive mental wellbeing. Just as we care for our physical health, our emotional and psychological wellbeing needs attention, compassion, and space to grow.

My qualifications are grounded in evidence‑based practice but my approach is shaped by the real lives of the people I work with. I aim to offer support that is steady, practical, and rooted in the realities of everyday life — because life is complex, and you deserve support that meets you where you are.

My Qualifications
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies (University of Newcastle upon Tyne, 2010)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Psychological Therapies (University of Newcastle upon Tyne, 2014)
  • Couple Therapy for Depression (Tavistock Relationships, 2021)
  • Accredited Life Coaching Diploma (in progress)

If you’d like to learn more about the approaches I use, you can read more here.

I’m committed to ongoing learning and development. As part of maintaining my registration with the BABCP, I complete regular continuing professional development each year. Alongside my core qualifications, I’ve completed further training in a range of evidence‑based approaches that help me tailor therapy to each person’s needs.
